Home School Affirmations
And Encouragement

Courageous Homeschooling Lesson two

What Are Your Worries?

Just have a look at the message Irma sent me on my Facebook page:

Quote from Irma

Gosh we can all identify with that feeling of being afraid.

And here's more fuel to add to the worry fire:

I feel so lonely and cut off - how am I going to cope?
There's so much to do - I just can't do it all
What if I can't teach my child to read – what will other people think?

This is just a sample of the string of negative thoughts that circle endlessly round...I'm sure you can add your own fears and worries to the list.

As a second generation homeschooling family taught at home myself, I can reassure you that we all have those worries - or ones like them.

And those nagging worries come back and bite us just when we don't want.

So let's give ourselves some much needed homeschool encouragement.

Take Action

confident homeschooling

Your first action today is to write down your fears.

The second action is to:

Join our Courageous Homeschooling Facebook group.

Once you apply to join, I can accept you into the group.

Share with us any of the fears that you have written down that you feel comfortable with in the group so we can support each other.

Now, we're not going to try to answer your fears – yet.

But it will help us if we know that each of us is not alone with our worries.

And when you put them on paper they often don't seem so scary!

We are going to spend the rest of this course working on your fears and tapping into that part of you which knows you've got loads of awesome stuff within you and you CAN do it.

This course will prove that homeschooling offers an amazing opportunity to open the door to all the power and love inside.

And the most powerful way you can overcome your fears to reach that person inside is to take action.

Home School Affirmations

The third part of today's Action Plan is to:

Become your own best friend.

The way to start doing that is to start talking to yourself nicely!!!

And one of the best ways to begin doing that is to use home school affirmations.

Affirmations are a marvelous tool to support us through the ups and downs of homeschooling because our subconscious believes the words we use to ourselves.

And I can guarantee you're doing yourself down!

So let's start right now by giving ourselves a jump start along the Courageous Homeschooling course by saying the words which will heal, soothe and bring confidence and power.

To help you, this link will take you to a free list of printable home school affirmations.

"My affirmations in our homeschool diary. It's great to read that all the things I have been feeling are normal. The course is a godsend xx"

~ Lynn

Print out the ones that speak to you, cut them out and put them somewhere you can see.

build a successful homeschool

For the moment, I would like to be your special friend.

I would like you to keep thinking to yourself:

"I am special."

"I am wonderful."

"I am doing the best I can."

Because even though I haven't met you I know all those things are true!

Best wishes

Sonya

In the next lesson I want to talk about FEAR.  Because there is an awful lot of fear in life - and even more when you think you might homeschool!
